// About the drawing
Since its opening at 51 Prince street till today at the 97 Kenmare, Storefront has held a total number of 180 exhibitions, in a maximum of 8-9 exhibitions per year. Three main stages have been used in the history of the gallery. The first one opened in 51 Prince from 1982 to 1985 with a total number of 25 exhibitions. The second one at 97 Kenmare with its blind street elevation from 1986 to 1993 with a total of 46 and finally the actual versión, in the same loation but redesigned by Aconcci/Holl with a total number of 109 exhibitions till this date. The drawing shows every single of this 180 exhibitions in its specific location, accumulating them in stories year by year, representing an architectural image as a reflection of the immaterial accumulation of content.

// About the artist
UMWELT Office of practice and research on Architecture and Territorial Design, founded in Santiago de Chile at the beginning of 2011 by Ignacio Garcia Partarrieu (1984) and Arturo Scheidegger (1983), both Architects and Masters of Architecture by the Universidad Católica de Chile. They have been visiting instructors at the AA Visiting School Chile and have recently won the First Price at the Young Architects Program YAP Constructo 2013 in Chile. Their work has been awarded in several competitions and has been showcased at the biennales of Venice (2012), Shenzhen and Hong Kong (2011) and Santiago (2012).

// About the exhibition
POP: Protocols, Obsessions, Positions, investigates what constitutes a position in architecture today and how that might be generated through the architect’s drawing. The exhibition presents 30 original drawings of the Storefront gallery space at 97 Kenmare Street by an international group of architects asked to go “from protocols, to obsessions, to positions.” Read more about the exhibition at http://www.storefrontnews.org/programming/exhibitions?c=&p=&e=538.
